Smoother rounded edges are much gentler on vines. The raised lip allows the plates to slide more freely (less frictional area) to the closed position. The lip retains more juice and reduces berry drop.

New mounts are user friendly, bolt-on design rather than a drive-in bushing. The mount can easily be adjusted in the field. In the event of failure, the mount can quickly be replaced and adjusted with simple hand tools. The new catcher plate assembly is about half the weight of the old assembly. Catcher plate kits include catcher plate mounts and all hardware. These newly designed catcher plates and mounts are proven in the vineyard and now fitted as standard to our new harvesters and are available as a kit for our earlier model harvesters. These catcher plates are moulded and far smoother (previously cut from plastic sheet).
