Drum Mowers
Reese Agri has been producing tough drum mowers for more than 30 years. The range
is designed to cut hay and silage but is equally at home with the tough demands
of topping or high cutting.
The range consists of manual, hydraulic lift and trailed models. Cutting widths
range from 1.6 to 3.4 meters (5'3" to 11'2").
The 3 point linkage mounted models have optional spreaders that spread and
lift the crop thereby reducing the need for an additional pass to tedder the
crop. The spreader provides a conditioning effect which significantly reduces
drying times and avoids the significant loss of plant sugars associated with
conventional conditioning equipment.
The heavy belt drive systems used to power Reese Drum Mowers avoids expensive
maintence common to most mower types, and enables long periods of low cost operation.
Routine service and maintenance work can usually be carried out by an operator
with reasonable "hands on" abilities and a reasonable farm workshop.
Special tools are not usually required.
